We are a team of creative thinkers, legal specialists, teachers, cultural and linguistic specialists, social workers and counsellors, international business developers, land managers, sustainability experts and visionary pioneers. Through our collective education, experiences and perspectives we have built a holistic humanitarian program that delivers progressive and innovative programs to those most in need. EarthChildren recognises that services such as access to food, water, shelter, health, and education are integral to supporting vulnerable and marginalised peoples and communities. However, we also recognised that this is a short-term fix as it fails to address to the underlying trauma and pain of the individual and the collective. From our own firsthand experiences and observation, we have identified that the emotional ‘wound’ caused by persecution and marginalisation is lack of identity and lack of validation of identity. An integral component of EarthChildren’s work is to recognise, validate and honour both the individual and the collective identity of the group. Such action much take place for true inner healing and transformation to occur.
OUR EARTHCHILDREN VISION & VALUES
Our EarthChildren’s vision is to recognise, validate, uplift and educate persons living in poverty and hardship to break free from inequality, chains of poverty, and societal suppression that binds them, and to provide such supports that facilitate the creation of thriving innovation hubs and inspiring safe learning experiences in some of the darkest and most remote places on our planet.

OUR EARTHCHILDREN NAME
The name EarthChildren was created by founder, Rochelle James. We – collectively – are all children of our great earth. The name depicts the target group that EarthChildren seeks to help and the vision of coming together and uniting humanity to support these persons to build a different future.
